Will Hoge Premieres “Breezy, Nostalgic” “17” With The Boot, New Album Anchors Out 8/11 Via Thirty Tigers

Grammy-nominated Nashville singer-songwriter Will Hoge has premiered “17” with The Boot. Inspired by hearing his two sons making music in the family garage, the “breezy, nostalgic” track comes from Hoge’s self-produced 11th studio album Anchors, out August 11 via Thirty Tigers

“I was sitting around one day during a period of deep doubt,” Hoge tells The Boot, “and then I heard these three pre-teens in my damn garage thinking they can save the world with rock ‘n’ roll. It was amazing. All of the sudden, you remember the feeling of going to band practice and playing with your friends and making sure that you’ve got your jean jacket on just right so you can talk to the girl at the movie theater and try to get her to come to your show. You remember you do it because you love it and it feels right.”

Early review for Anchors have been glowing. “Hoge employs every weapon in his vast musical arsenal to deliver what may be his finest work yet,” says The Daily Country. “Every tune here displays his mastery as a songwriter and performer,” writes Americana Music Show.

Rolling Stone Country premiered Anchors’ rootsy debut single “Little Bit Of Rust,” featuring guest vocals from Sheryl Crow (listen HERE). The Tennessean debuted “Baby’s Eyes,” noting, “fans of Tom Petty and The Byrds will find a lot to love in its steady groove, and the sweet morsels of 12-string guitar and glockenspiel chiming in on the refrain” (listen HERE). American Songwriter premiered “As Young As We Will Ever Be,” calling it “a rollicking, Springsteen-esque rocker with a killer guitar solo” (listen HERE).

In between working on his own music and crafting hit songs for others (Eli Young Band, Lady Antebellum), Hoge is busy with the launch of Nashville Elcectric Transportation, his new Tesla-only electric car service. Read about it here and here

Hoge will embark on US tour in August, which will include a return to the Grand Ole Opry and a performance at this year’s AmericanaFest.
