Craig Morgan And Family Award Jerry Greer Memorial Scholarships

Craig Morgan alongside his wife Karen Greer and the entire family are honored to award the 2018 Jerry Greer Memorial Scholarship to deserving youth in Dickson County, Tennessee. The scholarship, now in its second year, is a memorial scholarship to honor their son Jerry’s energy, athleticism, and love of life. The Jerry Greer Memorial Scholarship ensures that college-bound athletes in Dickson County, particularly those with dyslexia and other learning differences, can celebrate Jerry’s life through the opportunities they will receive through this fund.

The 2018 recipients are:

  • Emily Beard – Beard received the award in 2017 and again in 2018.  She is now entering her sophomore year at Union University where she is playing basketball and studying special education.
  • Zachary Benson – Benson will be attending Trevecca University in the National Praise and Worship Institute studying Music Business with a minor in Music Therapy as a freshman in the fall.
  • Noah Edmisson – Edmisson will be attending Nashville State studying Business as a freshman in the fall.
  • Darius Melchior – Melchior received the award in 2017 and again in 2018.  He is entering his sophomore year at East Tennessee State University.
