Opry Kicks Off Fanfest with Big Names and Prepares for First Bonnaroo Show

Grand Ole Opry members Bill Anderson, Terri Clark Chris Janson, Darius Rucker, Ricky Skaggs, and Carrie Underwood, along with newcomer Ashley McBryde hit the stage at the Grand Ole Opry House last night as the Opry kicked off its CMA Music Fest Week with two sold out shows The music began in the afternoon with a free Opry Plaza Party featuring Warner Bros. recording artist McBryde on the Humana® stage.

Other Opry performances scheduled for Music Fest Week include shows on Thurs., June 7, Fri., June 8 and Sat., June 9. Among those performing on various shows are Opry members Dailey & Vincent, Oak Ridge Boys, Charley Pride, Blake Shelton, Marty Stuart, and Josh Tuner as well as special guests Luke Combs, Easton Corbin, Charles Esten, and more. On Sun., June 10 the Opry will stage its first-ever show from the famed Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN featuring Opry members Old Crow Medicine Show, Bobby Bare, Del McCoury Band, and Riders In The Sky as well as Joshua Hedley, LANCO, Nikki Lane, and Maggie Rose. The Nashville-based Opry has rarely in its 92-year history taken its iconic show outside Music City, on those occasions visiting prestigious venues such as New York City’s Carnegie Hall and Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center.
