Morgan Evans Releases Acoustic Version of “Things That We Drink To”

Rising Country star Morgan Evans is giving fans a new look at the title track from his debut album, revealing a live acoustic rendition (above) of “Things That We Drink To” as part of his Highway 1 Sessions video series.

“Things That We Drink To” is a tribute to Evans’ late manager, Rob Potts, who passed away in 2017. Evans penned the song, alongside producer Chris DeStefano and Josh Osborne, on the day of Potts’ memorial service in Nashville. Written as a celebration of life, the track serves as a toast for anyone who has lost someone they love.

The Highway 1 Sessions are a collection of moments captured on-camera, inspired by the Australia native’s passion for music, adventure and the outdoors. With a few days off between shows, Evans headed to the shoreline with just a guitar, a few friends and an open agenda. Check out the series’ first installment, “Young Again” here.
