California-born Brian Lea embarked on his culinary journey alongside renowned chefs such as Charlie Palmer, Jose Andres, and Jordan Kahn. His path led him to Charleston, where he joined the team at Husk under chef Sean Brock, eventually ascending to the role of sous chef at Husk Nashville’s debut team. Returning to Los Angeles, he served as the CDC at Trois Mec, a pivotal place where he crossed paths with Leina, his future partner in life and business.

Brian’s culinary odyssey continued back in Nashville, where he joined Strategic Hospitality as the chef of the French-inspired Le Sel and later contributed his expertise to the culinary ensemble at Bastion.

Leina’s roots are deeply embedded in the culinary world, with a sushi chef father and a mother who helms the kitchen at their family-owned sushi establishment in California. Although she completed a pre-med program at NYU, Leina’s passion for the restaurant industry prevailed. She honed her skills in front-of-house management at New York City’s Ace and Thompson Hotels.

Her journey led her back to California, where she transitioned to a culinary role, training under chef Jordan Kahn at Red Medicine. Her career continued to flourish at Petit Trois and Trois Mec under chef Ludo Lefebvre. Eventually, Leina moved to Nashville, taking on the role of sous chef at the Catbird Seat for chef Ryan Poli, and later joining forces with Brian at Bastion.
