Scotty McCreery Gets Married, Releases Video

Singer/songwriter Scotty McCreery, once named “Country Music’s Hottest Bachelor,” is now a married man. To celebrate, he’s sharing the brand new lyric video for his current single, “This Is It,” tomorrow, Thursday, June 21, at 12:00 PM ET (11:00 AM CT) on his Facebook page and Twitter feed. The heartfelt song is a blueprint of McCreery’s marriage proposal to Gabi Dugal, his high school sweetheart and now, wife. The “This Is It” lyric video visually transports viewers to the scenic mountains of North Carolina, where he popped the once-in-a-lifetime question – using artistic visuals to bring the lyrics written by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis to life. A special sneak preview of the lyric video will be posted today on his socials at 12:00 PM ET (11:00 AM CT).

The couple who met in kindergarten in Garner, North Carolina and began dating during their senior year in high school, were married Saturday, June 16, in the mountains of their home state in front of their family and friends – the exact setting the song details. PEOPLE shared an exclusive photo from McCreery’s wedding festivities online just minutes after he and his new wife exchanged vows. Fans can see more pictures from the celebration when PEOPLE Magazine hits stands tomorrow. The stunning photos of the bride and groom were taken by Krista Stevens and Amber Beasley of Six Foot Photography.

“This Is It” is one of several songs on McCreery’s current album Seasons Change that was inspired by his new bride. He co-wrote all 11 songs on the album which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart, selling more than 40,000 units in its first week when it was released in March.

The lyric video was created and produced by McCreery’s label, Triple Tigers Records.
