Gavin Adcock is keeping the momentum going behind his highly anticipated third album with the release of his new single, “Having One Now.” The upbeat track arrives just days after Adcock performed “Winner At Losing” during the ACM Honors celebration of the hit television series Landman on Wednesday (Aug. 19).
Written by Adcock alongside Luke Laird and Rhett Akins, “Having One Now” finds the Georgia native celebrating the unexpected upside of finding love after a run of bad luck.
“‘Having One Now’ is an upbeat song about finding some love when you were down and out,” Adcock says. “Last week I dropped a sad song, the week before that I dropped a song for all the blue collar people out there. So, get ready… and don’t be surprised if I drop another one next week.”
The new single is the latest preview of Adcock’s forthcoming album, The Day I Hang It Up, which features 26 tracksand continues the gritty, high-energy sound that has helped make him one of country music’s fastest-rising artists.
Adcock co-wrote all but four songs on the project, which includes collaborations with Treaty Oak Revival, ERNEST, and Hudson Westbrook on the previously released fan favorite “Cheap Thrills.”
With more than 2.4 billion career streams, Adcock has built a reputation for hard-charging country anthems and a live show that MusicRow has described as a “rowdy, high-octane performance.” American Songwriter has called him a “modern-day outlaw,” drawing comparisons to country legends including Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash.
The Day I Hang It Up follows Adcock’s 2025 album Own Worst Enemy, which debuted as the No. 1 new Country album on the Billboard Top 200 Country Chart and the top-streaming new album on the all-genre Billboard 200. The album opened with more than 25 million U.S. streams in its first week, more than doubling the debut-week numbers of his previous album, Actin’ Up Again.
Adcock is currently on his headlining The Day I Hang It Up Tour, with special guests including Pecos & The Rooftops, Corey Kent, Tyler Nance, Jake Worthington, The Creekers, Braxton Keith and Mack Geiger. The 30-city tour follows several sold-out headline runs and comes after Adcock joined Morgan Wallen for select dates on Wallen’s I’m The Problem Tour in 2025 and Still The Problem Tour in 2026.
