Brothers Osborne Honored at 2025 NMPA Gold & Platinum Gala in Nashville

GRAMMY-winning country duo Brothers Osborne were among the standout honorees at the 2025 NMPA Gold & Platinum Gala, held at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. The acclaimed pair were recognized for their 3x Platinum-certified hit “Stay A Little Longer” and delivered one of the evening’s most memorable performances during the industry’s largest annual celebration of country songwriters.

Hosted by the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA), the gala honored more than 150 songwriters whose work achieved Gold, Platinum, or Multi-Platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) during the July 2024–June 2025 eligibility period. Over 70 Multi-Platinum songwriters were recognized on stage throughout the night.

Brothers Osborne, celebrated for their powerhouse musicianship and distinctive blend of country, rock, and soul, performed their hit “Stay A Little Longer” to an audience of peers, publishers, and music industry leaders. The song—originally featured on their debut album Pawn Shop—has now surpassed three million certified units in the U.S.

“‘Stay A Little Longer’ has taken on a life of its own over the years,” said TJ Osborne. “It’s an incredible feeling to see it still resonate with people.”

“Being recognized by the NMPA among so many of our songwriting heroes is something we’ll never take for granted,” added John Osborne.

The evening also featured standout moments from Maddie & Tae, who performed their 4x Platinum hit “Die From a Broken Heart,” and Dean Dillon, who was presented the Platinum Anthem Award for the year’s highest-certified song—the 17x Platinum “Tennessee Whiskey.” The award was presented by his daughter, Jessie Jo Dillon, followed by a touching tribute performance from ERNEST.

Additional honors included Amy Allen, named Top Female Songwriter of the Year, and Ashley Gorley, who earned Top Male Songwriter of the Year for the third consecutive year.

Once again, the NMPA Gold & Platinum Gala shined a well-deserved spotlight on the writers and artists shaping the sound of modern country music—celebrating the creativity, collaboration, and enduring power of the songs that move Nashville and the world.

The Truth represents a significant investment in Nashville. The venue is projected every year to generate $74 million in economic impact, support 430 jobs, and contribute $6 million in state and local tax revenue.

“The backbone of Music City is the songwriters that put words to our feelings, stories, and joys. I’m excited that The Truth will be a venue that is dedicated to cultivating and supporting great songwriting,” Mayor Freddie O’Connell said. “When I expressed interest in music at a young age, the W.O. Smith Music School helped cultivate my passion, and allowing more folks to have that opportunity is a great way we ensure all Nashvillians can follow their Music City dreams.”
