NASHVILLE – Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and performer Caitlin Byk puts her voice front and center on “Easy Girl,” her new single out now through Cash Money Records / Republic Records. Blending R&B, pop, and hip-hop influences, the Asian-American artist continues to develop a sound that pairs contemporary songwriting with an appreciation for earlier musical eras. Her latest release builds that approach into a dramatic arrangement, giving a heartfelt vocal room to rise from an intimate opening toward a soaring finish.
“Easy Girl” unfolds over a simmering beat threaded with electric guitar, with cinematic strings and bold drums adding momentum as the song reaches its high-register crescendo. That balance of emotion and rhythmic drive gives Byk space to showcase both the sensitivity and power in her delivery. She wrote the single alongside Clifford ‘Toft’ Willingham, Jared Fuller Freedman, and Gregory Donell Edwards, with production handled by Greg Edwards, TOFT, and BLUJAY.

The track marks Byk’s second release of the year, following “My Love,” which arrived with an official music video directed by James Willingham III and produced by Brendan Lynch and Toft Willingham. Both releases follow the attention surrounding her 2025 song “Crazy Lady.” After gaining traction on Instagram Reels, that track accumulated hundreds of thousands of streams across digital platforms, helping bring her music to a wider audience. Early releases also drew praise from Melodic Magazine, which noted how “she blends styles of R&B, pop, and hip-hop and shares about her life as an American teen.”
Byk’s musical foundation reaches back to childhood. The Los Angeles native began playing piano at five, took singing lessons, and eventually started sharing covers online. Those performances helped her build an audience before she introduced her own material. Beginning with “Faded” in 2024, she expanded her catalog with “Trust,” “Some1 Else,” “Blow Away,” and “Crazy Lady,” developing a songwriting voice shaped by youthful experiences, confidence, and direct, memorable lyrics.
Now signed to Cash Money Records, Byk draws on throwback R&B instrumentation and old-school hip-hop production while keeping her songs grounded in accessible pop structures. “Easy Girl” adds a more sweeping setting to that mix, letting its guitar, strings, and drums support the vocal at the heart of the song. With more music on the way, the single offers another introduction to an emerging artist finding her own balance between classic influences and a contemporary perspective.
