Brothers Osborne Announce New Album ‘Watertown’

Brothers Osborne are heading back to their roots with their fifth studio album, Watertown, arriving October 23 via MCA.

Named in honor of their hometown of Deale, Maryland—a small, coastal, blue-collar community with a population of just 5,333—Watertown finds brothers John and TJ Osborne reconnecting with the place and musical influences that shaped them.

The 11-track album is described as the duo’s most introspective and vulnerable project to date, exploring family, love and loss, life’s many stages and changes, and the experiences that have shaped the brothers both personally and musically.

“We’re not just getting back to where we were born and raised, but to the roots of where we started musically,” TJ Osborne says. “A time when music wasn’t dictated by anything other than what our hearts and souls wanted to say.”

For Watertown, Brothers Osborne reunite with longtime producer and collaborator Jay Joyce. The album also marks several firsts for the duo, including their first full-length collaborations with reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Cody Johnson, who joins them on “Born and Raised Hell,” and Nashville singer-songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr., featured on “Tough Kid.”

The album’s opening track, “Born and Raised Hell,” promises to be a particularly fitting introduction to a record rooted in the brothers’ upbringing and the blue-collar spirit that has always been part of their music.

Brothers Osborne Introduce the ‘SELLOUT EDITS’

Watertown is also taking a different approach to the way an album reaches listeners.

Ahead of the full album’s October release, Brothers Osborne will release alternate versions of songs called “SELLOUT EDITS.” The shorter versions are designed to meet listeners where they are in today’s music landscape, while fans who want to hear the complete versions can access them by joining the duo’s free fan club, The Family.

“Our SELLOUT EDITS are a result of understanding where we are in 2026. It’s our way of meeting the people where they are,” John Osborne explains. “Our hope is that these edits will drive people to the deeper story.”

John adds that the band’s live shows will offer yet another version of the music.

“If they want to meet us where we are, at our live shows, they will likely get even more than what’s available to them on the internet,” he says. “Different strokes for different folks, and we welcome them all. It’s still us and our songs at the end of the day.”

TJ sees the different versions as another way for listeners to connect with the songs.

“Songs aren’t static – they’re recorded one way, released another, played live yet another,” he says. “All versions are valid, just like all interpretations are valid.”

The latest Watertown release is “Bottle It Up (SELLOUT EDIT),” giving fans another early taste of what’s to come.
