The Gulch – Nashville Real Estate

The Gulch Real EstateThe Gulch is the first green neighborhood in the South to be LEED certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and a uniquely different experience from the honky-tonks and 19th century architecture of the nearby Broadway strip. After you get your fill of some of the finest Country musicians in the world, be sure to spend a night exploring The Gulch.

As a native Nashvillian, I can recall, once upon a time, this trendy Nashville haven consisting of dilapidated and vacant industrial spaces. The streets were as dark as the buildings. In short, there was reason to go here. But in 1999, a group of local investors broke ground on a major redevelopment that launched a Renaissance of this once forgotten and tabooed pocket of urban Nashville.

Twenty years after the initial redevelopment The Gulch sparkles at night with its trendy rooftop bars. The foodie in you is sure to be impressed with popular Gulch restaurants such as Sunda, Biscuit Love, Milk & Honey, Sambuca, Saint Añejo, Adele’s, Virago and, one of my personal favorites, The 404 Kitchen.

The 5-star luxury hotel, Four Seasons, will open soon in The Gulch. Owned by Bill Gates and Saudi Prince al-Waleed bin Talal, the 8,000 square-feet hotel will boast event venues, retail space, 236 luxury hotel rooms and 142 condominiums. Four Seasons will be in good company with such notable Gulch hotels as the Thompson Nashville and Union Station.

This trendy neighborhood is the home of the Frist Art Museum, a “must visit” for history and architecture buffs. The Frist Art Museum exists in an imposing Art Deco building that was once Nashville’s central post office. This museum is sure to impress with their progressive rotating exhibits.

In The Gulch, you will find some of the finest Nashville real estate. Here, the condominium rules supreme. You can buy a modern condominium here with amenities that will rival anything in Manhattan or Los Angeles.

The Gulch is advanced, exciting, and entertaining. Be sure to grab a buttered biscuit at Biscuit Love and then head to the intimate Station Inn where Country music superstars frequently make an appearance.
