Black Veil Brides > Heavy Metal: Formed in 2006, Black Veil Brides originally came together in Cincinnati, Ohio.Primarily the brainchild of vocalist Andy Six, the band combines cathartic metalcore/screamo with a dark, gothic image to set it apart from its contemporaries. In their first couple of years together, Black Veil Brides went through a number of lineup changes while they gained attention from labels with two EPs, releasing Sex & Hollywood in 2007 and Never Give In in 2008. The band eventually relocated to Los Angeles, settling on a lineup and beginning work on its full-length debut. Bringing together guitarist Jinxx (formerly of the Dreaming), guitarist Jake Pitts, bassist Ashley Purdy, and drummer Sandra Alvarenga, the band began to refine its image and sound, touring with groups like Eyes Set to Kill and From First to Last.

In 2010 they released their debut, We Stitch These Wounds, on Standby Records. Later that year, Alvarenga left the band and was replaced by drummer Christian “CC” Coma, who made his debut with the band on 2011’s Set the World on Fire, which was released on Lava Records. For their third release, Black Veil Brides channeled their gothic image to create the conceptual punk rock opera Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones, which was released in early 2013. ~ Gregory Heaney

Dark Divine > Metalcore: Hailing from Orlando, FL this Hard Rock act shows us a side of darkness that brings a sentiment of anguish mixed with a sincere notion of understanding. The band’s new single “Paper Crown (feat. Bryan Kuznitz of Fame On Fire,)” premiered on Octane is the newest release of the band’s growing discography. “Dancing Dead” and “Drown” are hair-raising tracks, immersing fans in a fear-stricken world. Conceptual ideology aside, the band brings hard hitting instrumentation and a vocal power that stands to cement the act as a fresh mainstay of the hard rock and metal genres for years to come. “The confines of Florida have seen some absolutely epic bands make names for themselves, but it’s time to look to the future. There is a quickly rising band that is making all the right moves in all the right places.” Says New Noise about the band. They have recently shared the stage with Famous Last Words, Limbs, Until I Wake and The Word Alive.

Ghostkid > Metal: GHØSTKID’s music is a headlong dive into darkness and aggression. It aligns on new paradigms: baring its teeth while keeping a sense for catchy melodies.

Creeper > Heavy Metal: At the end of CREEPER’s sold-out headline show at the Roundhouse, vocalist William Von Ghould stepped out to thank the audience when a mysterious figure leapt from the shadows and decapitated him in front of 3300 people. The lights went down and the big screen cut to a haunted house, where the band’s reluctant social media host, the vampire familiar Darcia, deadpanned, “It’s time for a new era… and I couldn’t be more excited.”
