The 52nd Annual Ted Rhodes Golf Classic, Nashville Sept 11-12, 2021

Two-day annual charity amateur golf tournament being held on September 11-12, 2021 celebrating the legacy of golf pioneer Ted Rhodes and fundraiser for Fisk University Golf team and the youth organization First Tee of Tennessee. The event is being held at the golf course that bears his name, Ted Rhodes Golf Course in Nashville.

Ted was the 1st black professional golfer to play in the US Open in 1948 and he was from Nashville. He won over 150 tournaments and was granted posthumous membership into the PGA in 2009 and was the golf instructor for boxer Joe Louis, tennis player Althea Gibson to name a few.

The tournament is open to male and female amateur golfers, ages 18 +.  Registration deadline is August 21. On-line registration is available on Blue Golf. The link is located on our website (tedrhodes.org) under events.
