Scotty McCreery has released a brand-new single, “See You Tonight” to Country radio this week. “See You Tonight” is the lead single off of his forthcoming sophomore album, scheduled for release later this year on Mercury Records/19/Interscope. The song, written by McCreery, Ashley Gorley, and Zach Crowell, is one of several tracks on his upcoming project that Scotty has co-written. The new album follows his Platinum debut album Clear As Day, which was the best-selling solo Country album of 2011 and spent six weeks at #1 on the Billboard Country chart.
“I’ve been fortunate to be able to take my time making this record, and it’s been fun for me to have a hand in writing songs for the album, which I wasn’t able to do with Clear As Day,” says McCreery. “I’m really proud of what we are working on in the studio right now and excited for the fans to hear new music that I’ve put my own stamp on.”
Scotty will premiere “See You Tonight” live when he returns to perform on the American Idol stage this Thursday, April 11th at 8/7c on FOX. Fans can get a first listen by purchasing the track which is now available on iTunes here.
In between recording the new album and taking classes as a full-time college freshman at North Carolina State, Scotty is busy on the road with his first headline tour, The Weekend Roadtrip Tour 2013, which will continue to make stops around the country through the end of May.
