Taylor Swift On Promotional Blitz For “Red”

Taylor Swift is on promotional blitz for her upcoming album Red, in stores October 22nd. She’s been making her rounds gracing magazine covers worldwide and partnering with Walgreens and Papa Johns.

Walgreens, a retailer with 7,944 locations nationwide, will debut the Taylor Swift Store at Walgreens. Beginning this week, Walgreens and select Duane Reade locations will sell Swift-themed merchandise incorporating artwork from her forthcoming album Red (Oct. 22, Big Machine), including t-shirts, bracelets, backpacks, tour books, posters, journals, notebooks, calendars, iPhone and iPad accessories and other items. Select items will also be available for online purchase at Walgreens.com and through the Walgreens mobile app.

Additionally, Swift fans will be able to buy Red at their local 24-hour Walgreens beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 22, allowing the retailer to directly compete with Walmart, Target and Best Buy, which occasionally host midnight events for major entertainment releases.

“I look forward to sharing my music and merchandise with my fans, and making it easier for them to pick up their favorite items when visiting Walgreens or Duane Reade stores” said Swift

Also this week, Papa John’s announced that they are getting together with Taylor Swift for the release of Red. Papa John’s is offering customers the opportunity to engage with the brand and Taylor’s new CD through a variety of channels, including the ability to purchase Red and a large one-topping pizza for $22 in-store or at www.papajohns.com beginning Oct. 22.

Available now at www.papajohns.com/taylorswift, customers can sample Taylor’s latest video on “Papa’s Pizza Party Playlist,” shop for Taylor merchandise packages, and enjoy a 25 percent savings on regular menu priced orders through the limited-time “Taylor Swift Pizza Party” offer, using the promo code 25RED for online orders. The offer is good through Oct. 21.
