As quickly as success is coming for the Eli Young Band these days you might wonder if they‟re even able to process it or even take time to enjoy it. Mike Eli says while it has been a whirlwind, “We have had some moments where we’ve been able to really soak it in. You know, when the madness was happening around “Crazy Girl,” we were on the road a lot and not getting a whole lot of sleep and doing a lot of radio tour dates and stuff like that. So at that time it was really hard to really kind of take a step back and realize what was happening.” But he says when “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” went #1 they‟ve had some time to take it all in, especially being out on the Rascal Flatts tour and being able to see the fans’ reactions first hand. Chances are they’ll have to make time soon to celebrate the success of their new single, “Say Goodnight,” which they just released but is already climbing the charts.
In other EYB news: Eli Young Band bass player Jon Jones and his wife Sarah announced they are expecting their first child. Jones said, “Sarah and I are so excited to start our family and to expand the EYB family. We are busy getting our house ready to welcome come our baby boy in December.
