Rascal Flatts is plenty busy these days promoting their latest single, “Come Wake Me Up,” and traveling the country with their Changed Tour, and on July 20th things got a little busier for Jay DeMarcus with the birth of his son Dylan Jay DeMarcus. Fortunately his wife Allison does an amazing job of taking care of the family while he’s gone, but Jay is certain he’ll also get some help from his bandmates, Gary and Joe Don. He jokes that he’s afraid what Dylan will learn from his uncles is “all of his bad habits.” In all seriousness Jay says, “I hope that Gary teaches him how to sing like he does and hopefully Joe Don will teach him to play guitar like he does and then I’ll have the best of both worlds.” Never one to stay serious for too long, Jay jokingly added, “Then I can go out on the road with my son and leave these two yahoos.”
