Tuesday Night Opry Host Diverse Line-Up

This week’s sold-out Tuesday Night Opry offered a top newcomer debut, an Academy Award winner, iconic surprises, and more. Country newcomer Brantley Gilbert made his Grand Ole Opry debut, Academy Award winner Kevin Costner and his band Modern West plus daughter Lily Costner performed songs from the television hit “Hatfields & McCoys”, and entertainment icon Jerry Lewis– in Nashville as director of the debut of the musical “The Nutty Professor”– made a surprise on-stage appearance. Among other highlights were performances by Charlie Daniels Band, Jimmy Dickens, Oak Ridge Boys, and Lee Brice.

The Opry has added four weeks of Wednesday night shows to its summer schedule that began last night. Performers scheduled to appear during next Wednesday’s show includes Rascal Flatts, Lauren Alaina, and others, while other upcoming summer Opry shows include appearances by Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Darius Rucker, and Marty Stuart, among many others.
