Ellen DeGeneres enlisted Taylor Swift as well as several other celebrities to film promos for the 10th season of her show, which kicks off on September 10th. Ellen and Taylor have always had a very playful and fun relationship, so in one of the promos Taylor starts to talk about her first time on the show and Ellen asks her to just do the promo without talking. Taylor is confused at first but then takes Ellen’s direction to just smile. In a longer promo, which also features Justin Bieber and former President Bill Clinton, Ellen continues her tradition of scaring Taylor half to death. As Taylor is talking about how happy Ellen makes her, the talk show host jumped up be-hind her and screamed. A genuinely startled Taylor jumped and screamed and began asking, “Why do you do stuff like that all the time?!” See the promos here and here.
