Martina McBride and her family have moved west for a few weeks to help her middle daughter, Emma, pursue her dream of being an actress. In her latest blog Martina says, “We have enrolled her in a couple of acting classes and work-shops in LA this month so that she can see if it’s something she wants to pursue. This could be the beginning of realizing her dream, which is a beautiful thing. I know how supportive my parents were at her age and how they did everything possible to help me be able to sing wherever and whenever I could and I’m happy we can do the same for her.” The timing of the family move works well for Martina, who is part of the new E! reality show, Opening Act, which just premiered last night. The show will give unsuspecting aspiring artists the chance to open for some of the biggest names in music, including Martina, Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley. The McBride family has rented a house while they’re in L.A. Martina says, “The idea of picking up and moving somewhere new is kind of crazy and kind of amazing! will be tweeting and updating you on how everything is going over the next month so you can share in our journey. I have a feeling something really magical is going to happen, not only for Emma, but for all of us.”
