Lorrie Morgan To Debut Christmas Show At Opryland

Country music fans will soon be able to share the wonder and warmth of a cozy Christmas as Grand Ole Opry member Lorrie Morgan brings her celebrated and festive show to one of America’s most treasured holiday destinations—Nashville’s iconic Gaylord Opryland Resort.

Lorrie Morgan’s Enchanted Christmas Dinner & Show begins November 16, 2012 and runs through Christmas Day, December 25, as part of Gaylord Opryland’s 29th Annual ‘A Country Christmas’ celebration. Lorrie and her family of talented musicians will take audiences on an enchanting journey through Christmases past and present, featuring songs from Lorrie’s popular MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM LONDON album along with an assortment of hits from her 16-album recording career. Sharing her musical gift with guests, Lorrie’s set list will also include her rendition of “My Favorite Things” and her personal holiday treasures “Ave Maria,” “Blue Snowfall” and “Up On Santa Clause Mountain,” as well as her Christmas festival medley to set the Yuletide tone. Each evening will begin with a traditional holiday meal with all the trimmings prepared by Gaylord Opryland’s award-winning chefs.

“There is something about the snow and the lights and the sparkle in children’s eyes during the Holiday season that is absolutely magical,” said Morgan. “I remember coming to Opryland and the Grand Ole Opry with my father as a child; year, after year, the experience was like a whimsical storybook. I am pleased to have the opportunity to bring the love, hope and romance of the Christmas season to life with my music—appearing in this show is a dream come true.”

With more than two million twinkling lights, acres of stunning decorations and festive entertainment that attract visitors from all over the world, A Country Christmas at Gaylord Opryland has been hailed as one of the “Ten Great Places to Catch up with Santa” by USA Today;

Recognized as a renaissance woman of the genre, Lorrie Morgan has played parts on Broadway and in theater; she’s recorded duets with Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, The Beach Boys and Keith Whitley. She is scheduled to release a documentary [entitled Beyond The Interview: Lorrie Morgan (ANR Records)] in the coming months and is currently in the studio with touring companion, Pam Tillis, working a new project entitled GRITS & GLAMOUR.

    Was the worse show ever, she was a ass to her crew and spent the time complaining about them not doing there job in between shows and she did not sing looking at crowd she looked at back shaking her head at her crew. Food at show was like eating at a retirement home. She is not worth seeing, do not spend your hard earned money on this show.
