The 2012 Grammy awards show was filled with many memorable performances by Adele, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown and Rihanna. Blake Shelton and The Band Perry sang a tribute Glen Campbell who came out after and sang Rhinestone Cowboy. Campbell received the Grammy’s Lifetime Achievement award. Overall it was a great show with many remembering Whitney Houston throughout the night. Jennifer Hudson sang a beautiful rendition of the Dolly Parton song “I Will Always Love You” which was a big hit for Houston. If there was a low point it might have been Nicki Minaj’s attempt to imitate a Lady Gaga or Madonna like performance of her new single “Roman Holiday.”
Lady Antebellum took home the award for Best Country Album for “Own the Night” at Sunday’s Grammy Awards. The trio told the audience, and the Grammys, “Thanks for changing our lives last year,” referring to their first wins at the Grammys in 2011.
