Just last week Chris Young celebrated his latest single, “Tomorrow,” as it rose to the top of the charts. Now, the singer has another reason to celebrate. His album, “The Man I Want To Be,” has been certified gold by the RIAA for selling over 500,000 copies.
Chris released “The Man I Want To Be” back in 2009. It produced three No. 1 songs for him, including “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song), “Voices” and the title track.
Just two weeks ago, Chris watched his third album, “Neon,” rise to the No. 4 spot on the Billboard Top 200 chart as it sold more than 72,000 copies in its first week of sales. “Tomorrow”, his current single and first release off the album, was written by Chris, Anthony Smith and Frank Myers. It was certified gold earlier this summer and has sold over 600,000 downloads, making it the fastest rising single of Chris’s career. He is set to release his new song “You” to country radio later this month.
