Miranda Lambert To Perform On “The Voice” And Gets Record Deal With Pistol Annies

Miranda Lambert has had her plate full this summer. She recently celebrated her No. 1 single, “Heart Like Mine,” and was married to fellow country singer, Blake Shelton, last month. Aside from her own career, she has also been putting a lot of work into the trio, the Pistol Annies. The group, comprised of Ashley Monroe, Angaleena Presley and Miranda herself, recently signed their first record deal.

They revealed the news last week during a performance at Joe’s Bar in Chicago. The Pistol Annies have been joining Miranda on the stage during her performances, giving fans a look at the heart-felt country music they’ve created. In fact, after singing a song at Joe’s Bar, Miranda took the mic and said, “We’re the Pistol Annies, and it doesn’t get more honest than that.”

Miranda is taking time away from the group this week to perform on NBC’s hit show, “The Voice.” She will be singing with Blake’s artist, Dia Frampton, and might even do a song with Blake.

“I am thrilled to perform on my favorite new show,” Miranda said in an NBC release. “It’s been a joy watching my husband grow so attached to his team. Truthfully, I am a little jealous that I am not a coach myself. I can’t wait to be a part of it.”
