Keith Urban’s “Get Closer” world tour will be kicking off June 16th, and as usual, it will be a Keith Urban tour you don’t want to miss. Fans attending the show can be sure they will “Get Closer” to Keith as he puts on one of the most anticipated tours this year. “I’m going into the crowd on several occasions,” he assures. “This tour is not just called “Get Closer,” it’s literally going to be that, too.”
When walking into a crowd of screaming fans, it is difficult to know exactly what to expect. One thing is for sure though, they will do everything they can to catch a glimpse of maybe even touch the arm of their favorite star. “Maybe from the outside it looks very different, but the lost buttons and ripped sleeves testify to something very different. I’ve come home a few times with scratches on my chest and on my back, and my wife’s gone, ‘What is that?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, I’ll show you,’ and we’ve filmed the audience. She’s like, ‘Oh my god!’ [Laughs] It can be a bit treacherous out there sometimes, but it’s always different, always unpredictable, and I love it.”
During the tour, not only will fans be hearing the new music released from Keith, songs like “Without You” and “Put You In A Song,” but he will be putting a new spin on some of his older songs we well. However, there is no need to worry, all of the fan favorite songs will be left alone. “There are certain songs that are sacred,” he says. “People want to hear them just as they are in their head, they don’t want you messing around with them. And then there are some other songs, if they’ve been around a long time in our set list, that I think we can take some creative liberties with. I’m looking at performing a couple of these songs as if they were remixed.”
This tour will be sure to entertain the audience and keep fans wanting to hear more from Keith Urban. A lot of work has gone into making it one of his biggest tours yet and he may even give Taylor Swift a run for her money. There is no telling what kinds of tricks he has up his sleeve.

Never have seen a “bad” Keith Urban concert. He is the ultimate performer, and even if you do not care for country music, you will love this Grammy award winning writer, singer, musican….HE IS THAT GOOD!!!
Same her slj! His shows never disappoint. What’s so great about Keith is you feel he is singing just to you and he sounds as good if not better live than on his CDs. The man is a true live entertainer.
Im seeing him!!! Im so excited!! However unless he has fireworks, trees, and a stairwell, as well as a moving platform to sail across the audiance i will say i think taylors money is safe lol. Im seeing both so i cant lose this summer!! Anyways. I do hope i get closer to keith!
Keith is such an all-around, seasoned artist and entertainer that he really does not need gimmicks, tricks or special effects to connect with his audience. He does it with pure talent, charisma, respect for his audience and good music. That is true entertainment….the kind that stands the test of time.
Not a country fan, but I would never miss seeing a Keith Urban concert. Two on the docket this summer and trying to arrange more. There is never a bad seat in the house at an Urban concert. His concerts are totally entertaining. He does not need fluff and bells and whistles to have a fabulous concert. The man eeks charisma and talent.
So excited for this tour to start! Seeing shows #2 and #3 in a couple of weeks! He is the ultimate package in concert! A must see show!
