Carrie Underwood Makes Her Big-Screen Debut

Carrie Underwood makes her feature film debut today in “Soul Surfer.” Soul Surfer is the inspiring true story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton, who lost her arm in a shark attack and courageously overcame all odds to become a champion again, through the love of her family, her sheer determination and unwavering faith. The film features an all-star cast, including Underwood, Annasophia Robb, Helen Hunt, Dennis Quaid and Craig T. Nelson.

When AP asked Underwood if an acting career was in her future she said: “You never know, I’m not saying anything either way. I’m very busy with music and that’s what I love, that’s what I know. But you know this was special. It didn’t fit into my schedule at all, but we made time for it. It was so special. So if something else really special came along, I’m not going to say never.”

My daughter and I went last night. There are so many good things about the movie. Carrie is steady being such a fan seeing her live a million times I would say there were some nerves going on. I never watched a movie with AnnaSophia Robb WOW and WOW she won’t get an award because it is a Faith based movie and she is young. Ms. Robb if you ever read this know that the Christain family appreciates the incredible job you did carrying the movie. Take it from us old guys that have been shot up , shot down and shot at –not much impresses us….Ms. Robb has more talent in her pinky then I do in my whole body.
