Jerrod Niemann got together with some friends to play a donation-only benefit at Legends Corner in downtown Nashville on Sunday night. Jerrod, Jaron And The Long Road To Love, Chris Young and Lee Brice tuned in to StageIt.com in the back lounge of Niemann’s tour bus. The new, online platform is created for artists by artists that enables them to deliver and monetize interactive live performances. Each country artist utilized StageIt’s virtual tip jar during each of the shows on Sunday night, which opened up the opportunity for them to give away autographed CDs as well as deliver personal phone calls throughout the evening!
The event was organized by Jerrod on behalf of his drummer, whose dad passed away recently. Niemann shares, “StageIt allowed us to include everyone across the country who wished to participate and contribute and still feel part of the event even though they were unable to attend the concert in person.” The impromptu shows were announced on Facebook and Twitter only minutes before each one took place. Over 200 fans were in attendance. It raised over $2,000, with proceeds going to help with the medical bills.
