Brad Paisley certainly made two young girls in Tulsa, Oklahoma smile on the final night of his “H20 World Tour” on Saturday; Sierra Kihega got Paisley’s hat for her friend, Kenya Potthier, who has cancer. Sierra tells Nashville’s WSMV-TV about the poster that got Brad’s attention, noting, “It had a picture of Kenya up in the corner, and it said, ‘Cancer Sucks and Brad and Darius Rock,’ and it had a little story, and it said, ’13-year-old Kenya wanted to be here. Could you sign something for her?’” Brad then took off his signature, white straw Stetson and handed it to Sierra. So what did Kenya have to say about the gesture? Kenya reveals, “She calls me, and she goes, ‘You’re never going to believe this: Brad Paisley took the hat off his head and signed it for you. We were up all night. We were just shaking. I couldn’t go to sleep.” She adds, “On the inside, it says, ‘Especially made for Brad Paisley.’ It smells like Brad Paisley’s head.” Paisley also signed a hat for Sierra as well.

What a great story. I goggled the young girls name and found a way to help out.
It looks like her mother, Melissa, had to quit her job in order to take care of her child. The family is now in financial discourse and could use all of our help. (Including Mr. Paisley who got a lot of good press out of this story.)
If you would like to make a donation to help Kenya in her battle against cancer, you can do so through the RCB Bank in Claremore Oklahoma.
Checks can be made out to Kenya Potthier Cancer Fund.

you are so hot
Awwww this story is so heartfelt! We should all start helping out with cancer donations. Especially with Kenya. I bet that little girl felt a spark of happiness when she received that hat. I know I would have. In that place of sadness in her life.
