There’s not much Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn of Brooks & Dunn haven’t experienced and achieved during their 20 years as a country music duo. Among their many other honors, Brooks & Dunn have a total of 27 ACM Awards—more than any other artist in history—including three Entertainer of the Year awards and, most recently, a Top Vocal Duo award they received during the ACM Awards in April. But there’s one more award to be presented. During Sunday night’s ACM Presents: Brooks & Dunn—The Last Rodeo star-studded television tribute (airing at 8 p.m. ET on CBS), Kix and Ronnie will receive the Academy’s Milestone Award in recognition of their incredible 20-year career. Artists performing on the special include Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Jennifer Hudson, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Presenters are Dr. Maya Angelou, Miranda Cosgrove and Matthew McConaughey. I don’t think they’re doing a “Last Rodeo” CD but they do have a career-spanning double-disc collection, “#1s … and then some,” which features 30 favorites, including 23 number 1 hits. We’ll keep you posted if they announce anything.
Sure hope the ACM releases a CD of all the amazing performers playing the Brook & Dunn songs on last rodeo yesterday. I’d buy it in a heart beat. It was an amazing show!!!!

It’s January 2011 and I still love watching CBS’s 2010 Brooks & Dunn Last Rodeo Tribute (via uTube videos). Wish I could purchase CD and DVD (more than one for presents) of this great TV special, if made available!!! What a class act and gathering of performers!!!
