Carrie Underwood has said on several occasions that she’s not a Twitter fan, mostly because she thinks it would mean parting with just a bit more of her personal privacy than she’s up for. But, as she mentioned during our most recent chat, that doesn’t mean she’s never on the computer. “I can do fan club stuff,” she confides. “I talk to them, I blog on message boards. But other than that, I’m not really very technologically advanced.” So does that mean she doesn’t read about herself online? “I really try not to. I think it’s impossible sometimes ‘cause sometimes I’ll go to check my email, and I’m on the homepage somewhere. I’ll just go, ‘ Aw, man’. But I really, really try to stay away from negativity. And, if you’re being gossiped about, it can’t be about anything positive. Nobody wants to read any of that. People just want to know the dirt.” Good news, Carrie, no dirt here.—David Scarlett
