Location/trip question

I will be staying at the Comfort Inn on 1501 Demonbreun Street on a weekend trip soon. Is this close enough to the bars to walk, or will I have to get a cab? Is the general location of this hotel good? Never been to Nashville, looking forward to the trip!

This Comfort Inn is with a mile from downtown area (Broadway / 2nd Ave.) where all the bars are located. It's also right across the street from these bars - Tin Roof & the Dan Mc Guiness Irish Pub. Good spot!
