Default Nashville Hotels, Where To Stay?

I am thinking of coming to Nashville soon and I am wondering where I should stay. Anyone have a favorite hotel they frequent in Nashville? Would like a clean room, non smoking close to some decent restaurants etc

    Thanks for your input

My favorite that I've stayed in is the historic and opulent Hermitage Hotel (231 Sixth Avenue North). And, it happens to be a 2005 AAA Five Diamond Award Recipient, and Tennessee's only Five Diamond Hotel! It's walking distance to most attractions and has a wonderful restaurant on-site!

It's called: Capitol Grille (at The Hermitage Hotel - 231 Sixth Avenue, Nashville, TN 37219)

    Here's a brief write-up:

"Located in the AAA 5 Diamond Hermitage Hotel, the Capitol Grille - Nashville has hosted some of America's most noted individuals while serving as a gathering place for Nashvillians. Using the freshest regional ingredients, executive chef Sean Brock prepares a memorable celebration of creative Southern cuisine for every occasion."

    Enjoy!

The best hotel I've stayed at in Nashville is the Hampton Inn Vanderbilt-West End.

Methreemuse - Do you get good rates at this Hampton Inn Vanderbilt West End and is it in a good area?

I've paid about $85-99 per night. The service I received was definitely worth it. The area is a short distance from the heart of downtown and a couple of blocks from Music Row. Pretty central to a lot of things and I've never had a problem around there.

    Thumbs up

Hey! Thanks for the heads-up on this place. It's always good to get feedback on places near downtown and to know that this hotel is reasonably priced. Thanks!!
