No gambling in Tennessee --------------------------------------------------------------------------
While there are no casinos in Nashville or in Tennessee, there are some that aren't too far away.
Harrah's Metropolis
100 East Front Street
Metropolis, IL 62960
Phone: 618-524-2628
They just opened a new hotel adjacent to the casino! It's about 2 & a 1/2 hours away from Nashville.
Casino Aztar
421 NW Riverside Drive
Evansville, IN 47708
Phone: 800-544-0120
They also have a hotel. Casino Aztar is about 2 & 1/2 hours away from Nashville.
For a much bigger selection of casinos (total of 9) - you'll have to take about a 6 hour drive down to Tunica, MS. Call the Tunica Chamber of Commerce for more information if you're interested. You can reach them at: 662-363-2865.

Tunica, MS is actually less than 5 hrs from Nashville. Been there many times
apparently not........booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
there are several in st louis that is roughly 3 hours from Nashville. Ameristar and Harrahs are on the Missouri river on either the east or westrn side of st charles, mo and st louis county (Earth City to be exact) and there is a few on the Mississipi river in downtown st louis (not sure of names) the two in st charles/earth city are about 25 miles from downtown st louis wich is actually closer to Nashville than st louis. Again i have never been to the downtown casinos so i am not sure about what games they have. I know the st charles casinos have slots, multiple table poker games, video poker and texas holdem in ranges of $1-$2 to $5k-$10k if you have the money to spend on a hand.
Three hour drive from Nashville to St. Louis is not too bad. Most people make the trip to Vegas from Los Angeles every week and that take 4 hours. Sounds like the surrounding states are taking revenue out of TN.
Actually st. louis is a lot more than 3 hours from Nashville. Easily 5 to 6 hours probably.
