    Default Moving to Nasville

I plan on moving to Nashville so time soon. I am a single parent and want to know the best place to stay for me and my kids.

Tough question without more information! Where will you be working? That will at least narrow down what part of the Nashville area to suggest. ; )

Murfreesboro is a good family area - but it's about 30 south of Nashville. Great schools. Franklin & Brentwood are also great areas, but can get expensive. And where you will be working will have a lot to do with where to suggest to look for a home. You certainly don't want to be stuck in traffic every day! I think it's a very good idea to be close to my children's school. --jill

Franklin and Brentwood are very good areas, but you also pay for it. My home and business are located in Franklin right off of I-65 and I highly recommend the area. Everything is close by and Nashville is only 20-30 mins away. Murfreesboro (and Rutherford county in general) is growing very rapidly and is considerably more affordable.

From what I've seen, Old Hickory is a pretty good area. It's just north of the city.
