Default 16th Birthday Trip for My Daughter!

Hello! My daughter would like to take a friend and fly to Nashville for her
16th birthday at the end of February. I want to make sure they have a great time. Obviously age is an issue for the places downtown but her she would love to sing karaoke somewhere, any suggestions? She would also like to record a song at a studio for fun, are there any studios that cater to the tourists?? Any other suggestions for fun, memorable activites would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

As for recording studios, there's Music City Recording Studio at the Opry Mills Mall. You can reach them at (615)514-0117. Also, give Ryman Auditorium a call as they they may offer a recording studio for tourists. You can reach them at (615) 458-8700.

How about line dancing? Visit The Wildhorse Saloon (your daughter can be there after 10pm as long as she's with an adult). It might be a lot of fun to take line dancing lessons. For more information, give them a call them 615-902-8200.

    Angry Recording studio is closed

The Music City Recording studio at the Opry Mills is closed as of Mar 1, 2010 to make room for another Starbucks. Come on... I can't find an inexpensive recording studio for my 12 yr old daughter to record a song. This is music city. Shouldn't they have more of this for the tourists?

    Default Ryman Auditorium Recording Studio

Call Ryman Auditorium and talk to them (615) 458-8700). You can can record your own music there for $20, but you need to make an appointment and not just show up. You're not going to find anything cheaper than this. Another suggestion is SongCellar.com - but it's about $400 to record one song - and this price IS considered pretty inexpensive within the industry!
