Thread: Are you a songwriter or a Fan of them?

Default Are you a songwriter or a Fan of them?

My name is Timothy Hollis and I am looking to pass along some information about a website that I have been involved with for some time now. The owner of the company is Victor Valorani & he has come up with the idea to develop a website to bring Nashville’s songwriters back to the fore-front! The website is nashvilleonhold.com and it is a subscription-based site that allows anyone/everyone to listen to Songwriter’s Demos that have been put “On Hold” and forgotten about. Currently, we are hosting Craig Karp a veteran songwriter here in Nashville, TN. We will add more & more songwriters as they come to us! The site will be completely free for the next two weeks until April 5th, 2006. Please come and enjoy the music!

Speaking of songwriters, just wondering if anybody knows what Shane Minor has been doing? I had the opportunity to sing w/ him at a concert in Wisconsin once. Just curious.

    Default Shane

He's writing with EMI Music Publishing.

Some of his hits include a number one with Diamond Rio's "BEAUTIFUL MESS" and Andy Griggs "She Thinks She Needs Me." He's also had many cuts by country music's finest including Trace Adkins, Trick Pony, Tracy Byrd, Craig Morgan

That's cool, too bad he's not playing any gigs in Nashville. I'll be down there the beginning of June. It would be nice to see him again. Thanks for the info.

I have Shane's Cd that he put a few years ago and really thought we would hear more from him. He's very talented. Glad he has stayed in the business.

Is there any possibility that you know how to get in touch with Shane? Also, does he have at least one song that was in the top ten music charts? I would like to feature him on the site if he has. We have recently added a new songwriter, Essra Mohawk, a long-time writer! Thanks for any help that you can provide.

Hey! I am new here. Actually I registered here just so that I could get in on this chat if that is okay. Y'all are talking about my most favorite singer/songwriter! I wish that I could see Shane Minor again! I miss him so much!!!

Happy62780, you were wanting to know if any of Shane's songs have made the top ten. Here is a list of songs that Shane has written that I know have been done by other singers:

Diamond Rio- "Beautiful Mess" (This song was a multi week #1 on the R&R chart and the Billboard chart in 2002)
Tracy Byrd- "That's What Keep Her Getting By" (2003)
Brian McComas- "You're In My Head" (This song got to at least #21 on the Billboard chart in 2004. It may have gotten a little bit higher than that.)
Andy Griggs- "She Thinks She Needs Me" (This song got to #5 on the Billboard chart in 2004)
Jeffrey Steele- "Once A Cowboy" (2004)
Craig Morgan- "Rain For the Roses" (2005)
Trace Adkins- "Find Me A Preacher" (2005)
Trick Pony- "Once A Cowboy" (2005)
Steve Holy- "Brand New Girlfriend" (This song is currently climbing the charts)

Click here to see a list of all of the songs that Shane has written!

God bless you and him always!!!

Go here to listen to him sing sometime!

Hey! New country artist, Danielle Peck, singer of the song "I Don't", is going to have one of Shane's songs on her first album which is said to be released on June 6th. The song name is "Only the Lonely Talking" and you can hear a sample of her singing it here:
