Thread: Loved Walking Around Nashville

    Default Loved Walking Around Nashville

I visited Nashville about 10 or so yrs ago, and loved walking around town and visiting as many places that I could. Didn't there use to be yellow arrows painted on the some sidewalks that visitors could follow to get from place to place?

Default Yellow arrows in downtown Nashville

Yes, you are remembering correctly. In the past, there were yellow arrows on the sidewalks for visitors in downtown Nashville, but unfortunately they're no longer there.

    Default Thanks Jojo

Thanks Jojo! I thought so. It had been my very first visit to Nashville at the time, so I thought those yellow arrows were kind of a cute unique thing to have for visitors such as I to find all of the different places to visit.

Yea, I agree - too bad they're not there anymore. Are you planning a visit to Nashville?

Cool Re: Yellow arrows in downtown Nashville

    Hi Jojo,
The 2 previous 'Unregistered' posts are from me... I figured I should probably now register as a member here, as I've bouncing in & out of the forum as of late enjoying reading some of the threads.
I'm from NY(yeah, I'm a yankee... yikes! is that a good thing or bad?), but now visit family relatives periodically in eastern Tenn.
Hopefully, I'll get the time coordinated to make another trip to Nashville soon....maybe this fall or next spring.
Loved the visit there the first time I went during the 90's. Squeezed in a lot of visits to different places/venes while there... Wildhorse Saloon, Grand Ole Opry, took the horse carriage ride around town, etc... I remember also visiting the Bluebird Cafe, as I had (then) recently saw the River Phoenix movie 'Thing Called Love' which centered around a place called the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville... I still have a Bluebird Cafe baseball-type cap that I had purchased there.
    Well, gotta go for now,
    Thanks, Jeffrey

Well hello Jeffrey - happy to see you registered - welcome! It's always nice to hear someone tell us their visit to Nashville was a good one and a return is definitely on the mind. The fall and/or spring are great times to visit - hope you'll make it back soon.
