    Default Dining in Nashville

If you're looking for an elegant dining experience, I would recommend The Capitol Grille at the Hermitage Hotel in downtown Nashville. Executive Chef Tyler Brown prepares each dish using the freshest ingredients, creating southern cuisine for every occasion with an emphasis on certified Tennessee Black Angus Beef and game, and market fresh seafood. Contact info: 615-254-6909 (231 Sixth Avenue North, Nashville TN)

I would also recommend Flemings Steakhouse. They offer some of the finest prime beef available - marbled and aged up to four weeks. They also offer the freshest seafood and a tempting array of delicious salads, sides and desserts. Contact info: 615-342-0131 (2525 West End Avenue, Nashville TN)

Cool September or October temps in Nashville

The weather during the months of September & October should be great! The average high temperature in September is 82ºF and the average low is 61ºF. In October, the average high is 71ºF and the average low is 49ºF.

    Enjoy your visit!

    Default Nashville Hotels

    Dear Alan:

Thank you for your inquiry! You are smart to plan your trip in advance, you are far more likely to get the best rooms at the best prices. For well-located quality hotels, I'd suggest:

    Hilton Nashville Downtown
    121 4th Avenue South
    Nashville, TN
    615-620-1000
Luxury suites in the heart of Downtown Nashville and only 1 block from the action on Broadway.

    Renaissance Nashville Hotel
    611 Commerce Street
    Nashville, TN
    615-255-8400
Located 1 block from Broadway and in the business district, this downtown Nashville hotel is connected to the Convention Center, and within walking distance of Gaylord Entertainment Center, Coliseum, B.B. King's Blues Club, Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, and Historic Second Avenue District, which boasts Nashville's most popular "honky tonks" and live entertainment.

    Courtyard Nashville Downtown
    170 Fourth Ave North
    Nashville, TN
    615-256-0900
Located 2 blocks from Broadway. Unique among hotels in Nashville, the Courtyard by Marriott Nashville Downtown is a stunning, century-old high-rise set in the heart of the city's historic district. Within walking distance to Printer's Alley, 2nd Avenue and the Convention Center

    Sheraton Nashville Downtown
    623 UNION ST
    Nashville, TN 37219
    615-259-2000
Centrally located in the heart of downtown, the Sheraton Nashville Downtown Hotel is a AAA three-diamond, atrium-style, full-service hotel. Located 3 blocks from Broadway.

    THE HERMITAGE HOTEL
    231 Sixth Avenue North
    Nashville, Tennessee 37219
    Hotel Phone: (615) 244-3121 / (888) 888-9414
It's a 5 minute walk to Broadway. 2005 AAA Five Diamond Award Recipient and Tennessee's Only Five Diamond Hotel

Of these, I have personally stayed in The Hermitage Hotel, and can recommend it without hesitation. It was a 5 star experience - they even brought my dog room service!

    Kind Regards,
    Kate

    Smile Nashville packages

    Allan,

I see you have gotten some good advise let me also suggest something to you. Try checking out musiccitytours.com, they are a travel and sightseeing company that can help you make the most of your trip. Keep in mind that late September into October starts the fall foliage or colors and Nashville does start getting busy. Hotels def. need to be booked. My advise ask yourself where and what you would like to do. Downtown is great and the hotels are nice but if you don't want the traffic that comes with that try the opryland are where the fmous Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Opry House is. I would rec. the Guest House Inn if you aren't looking to spend the Opryland price. The reason I rec. this site is b/c they have packages already put together to assist you in the best possible trip. I personally would rec. the Discover nashville trip or even the walking tour. The have an all day pass that gives you a 1 hour trolley tour, walking tour of Downtown to include the Ryman with a tour guide who looks just like Willie Nelson and yes actually sings for him. You will also get a pass to go to the Country Music Hall of Fame on your own time. Discover Nashville also allows you to see the sites but without the walking tour. Also think about doing the Jack Daniels Distillery. It really is a neat tour and a great drive to Lynchburg with a informative guide. If you are looking to see some of the local songs check out the Nashville Palace by the Opryland Hotel or go to Printers Alley and Broadway, this is the downtown area with the Honkey Tonks. I sure hope this helps with your planning. Please feel free to ask me questions
