Default RAMA / Recording Artists Music Alliance

Suggest you contact RAMA (Recording Artists Music Alliance) - See if they have any events when you're in town. They are really great about letting you know who is looking for what. Also, you should have the opportunity to make some good contacts. 615-244-7555

    Good luck!

Exclamation RowFax & Pitch This Music

Look into RowFax - (musicrow.com) and PitchThisMusic.com. RowFax provides up to date information about which artists are working on recording projects and currently searching for new material. Pitch This Music provides a comprehensive and accurate country music tip sheet and directory which lets you know what type of songs artists are looking for and who to pitch your songs to. Both require paid subscriptions.

What you don't want to do is just send out your CD to everyone in town.....chances are it won't ever be heard...

Keep us posted and best of luck to you!

Best way to do it in nashville is perform at tootsies, fuel, bluebird, and others where you will get heard. Main thing is to build up a name and make some connections and have a producer or someone who knows a few people at record labels to take your demo around. Because even if you use those services more then likely nothing will happen with it.

Looking to get some original Christian music out and heard. By original, I mean music and lyrics are my own stuff. I also do the vocals in a Christian band here in my community. If you could give me some feed back on this I would appreciate it very much. God Bless.

    Bluey,

Record companies, publishing companies, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, NSAI and you name it are overwhelemed by material. Each have dozens of their own artists, writers, projects, demos, etc. and hundreds of others vying for future deals. So without personal invitations from members of those companies, an outsider simply has no chance of getting in the doors. In Nashville, it is a very small town and everybody knows everybody. So a system of cowriting into back doors are really the only way. My suggestion is get in line, learn the craft and business and be patient.

Finding a way to be a player in that industry is the real challenge, not writting a good song.

You can send tour demo cd to different radio channels. Or the most easiest way is to upload your music to some social networking sites.
