looking for 2-3 bedroom ground floor apt or ranch house

Hi,

we (my husband, our six year old son, and I) are moving to Nashville in about 2 weeks. I have a position at Vanderbilt, and we would like to rent a place for about 6 months (or maybe a bit more) before we buy something. It needs to be on the ground floor since my husband has a bad knee and can't really climb stairs anymore. We have been doing a lot of research at a distance, but it would be wonderful to get some advice on this. It would be great if I were in bicycling distance (5 miles or less) to the medical center, but I'll break down and buy a car if I have to. Would be great to be quiet - many of the places we see in the brochures seem to be close to a highway...
