UK Promotion Project - Artists Wanted

Hello All,

We are an independent country music promotion company based in the UK and serving several other European countries. We are currently seeking new artists who are interested in widening their horrizons. In brief, our intention is to produce an album for limited release in Europe with a view to bringing the act to Europe for short tours of clubs, theatres and festivals. We must stress that this is not a sales pitch! The act(s) we select will not be asked to contribute financially to the project. For this reason we do have a fairly strict criteria for pre selection:

1) The act must be a country singer/songwriter, we may consider duo's or bands but generally we are looking to work with solo's who will then work with musicians retained here in the UK. Recording will take place in Nashville, probably using house musicians.

2) The act must be an american national. Sorry guys, but we are not interested in ex pats who already didn't succeed here and are looking to import themselves as something new.

3) We will want to see the act working in some environment. At this stage it may be a bar or music club, open mic evening or similar.

We do not have any age bar, we are looking for talented, commited people who can demonstrate they deserve a break. In the first instance please e mail us with some background information, any website you have and an e mail address. We will respond to everyone we are interested in, but please be patient. At that stage you will be asked to send a demo of a song or two. These can be on CD, mini disc or tape. If you are unable to send these demo's please do not apply until you are.

Having said all that, we look forward to hearing from you and meeting some of you over the next 12 months.

I'm sorry Mr. Rogers, I'm not established in town. In fact, I'm not there yet -moving early Oct. And I don't know the 1st thing about the " real thing " from a small town in Arizona. But just wanted to say your posting is inspiring and helpful to those of us who are intimidated and unsure about following our dreams. Mabey I can contact you when I get in for advice or direction?
