I'll be visiting Nashville sometime in the next few months - can anyone give me some ideas of good live music clubs in downtown?

There are so many good clubs! A few of my favorites are the Wildhorse Saloon located on 2nd Ave North, The Bluegrass Inn on Broadway (they really cater to out-of-towners) and Tootsie's Orchid Lounge - (also on Broadway).
My fave is Tootsies, but if you dont like crowds, watch out!!! That place can get jammed. Its fun tho, you meet alot of nice folks who are just there to have a good time!!!! They have 2 stages, one in front on Broadway and one upstairs that lets you outside the back of the Ryman.
I'm trying to find it on the internet so I can see where is it.

what are the age requirements for the music clubs in nashville. it can varry in different cities
The legal drinking age in Tennessee is 21 - but - every club has different age limits for live entertainment. Some places you have to be 21+ or 18+ and there are places such as the Wildhorse Saloon where you can be a kid and be there after 10pm - as long as you're with an adult. You'll have to check around....
Florez, Crew, b.Young and Pound Lamb and the Whiskey Trippers will be performing at 12th & Porter on June 24th from 8pm-12am, benefiting the Country Music Association's "Keep the Music Playing," a charity supporting music education. Tickets are $10 at the door
If you're into rock, Rocketown is on 6th Avenue South. We also have Exit/In, on Elliston Place. We have a sparse amount of techno clubs as well as a sparse amount of hip-hop clubs here, though I can't remember any of them at the moment.
Oh that sounds really fun. I want to visit.
Just wondering if anyone can recommend any great under 21 nightclubs in downtown nashville.
There are several clubs downtown that are 18 and over. Most of the honkey tonks are a go.
It just depends on what music you are into.
first time to Nashville and we would like to hear some good live music - country, blues, etc... not important.
Tried to go to the Grand Ole Opry but Carrie Underwood is playing that night and only nose-bleed seats are left.
My son went there a couple months ago to some club and saw Kid Rock with a C&W band. That's the kind of act we would like to see.
Hoping that someone on this list has a favorite band playing that night.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Kevin from Boston
we to will be the nights of 3/6-3/8 and would be interested in what is going on! How did you know Carrie Underwood would be there? I must be on the wrong page! Thanks
