Sterling

Hey all from Canada. I've been desperately trying to locate a band that was based out of Nashville. I'm a DJ and worked with them many, many times when they played The Golden Nugget Saloon in Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA.

The name of the band (at least then) was "Sterling" Two brothers, Dave & Dwayne Mills founded the band. Dave on lead vocals & rhthym guitar, Dwayne on lead guitar and harmony vocals. The drummer's first name was Winston. The bass player's name I do not recall, but "Todd" seems to keep jumping into my mind. They also had a pedal steel player who went under the name of Johnny Del Ray.

These guys were fantastic. I jammed with them everytime they came through (I'm a drummer also). They were so popular that at times we'd book them for 2 straight weeks.

Last I heard, I believe they had or were going to release an indie album. Then I heard that they were spending a lot of time getting bookings on cruises.

If you have ANY information about Sterling, any of the guys, a way to contact them...PLEASE let me know!

Thanks a million for the email addy....but who's "Justin Sterling"??? Since you replied to my posting I automatically assumed you know of the band I'm talking about. Do you know these guys?

He's with the management company for Brent Hendrich. Thought there might be a connection because of the name you mentioned in your post - Sterling. Nope, I'm not familiar with the band and I'm not even sure if this is who you're looking for. Keeping our fingers crossed however, that this is not a dead-end lead for you. Hey Jojo,
Just spoke to Brent via email. He works mainly in the pop & rock scene and has never even heard of Sterling. Seems like a nice enough guy though. He said if he comes across any of the names I mentioned he'll let me know.

I'm just trying to think if there's any further details I could post that might make it easier to jog someone's memory. I do however have a video of the band that we recorded live during a Saturday night...but that's no help to anyone out there. I've burnt 3 songs to DVD (2 of which has me jamming with them) that I've been trying to post on www.veoh.com but because of the size it takes FOREVER to upload. Veoh has no limit as to the size or length of your video uploads and it's free. Maybe create an account there (it's free), and search for drtalk's videos. I might succeed in uploading the video and letting you see and hear these guys. Warning: this is off a 13 year old VHS recording so don't expect HD quality LOL!
