Considering moving to nashville to pursue music

Hey Y'all, I'm 21, and considering moving to nashville to pursue a career in music, It would be my first move on my own, and im thinking about staying in school when/if I make the move, and i'm looking for any advice on moving to from california, anything from good places to look at moving, to tips on living in nashville, or the move itself..the music scene, any cool things maybe I should know about the city? thanks!

I would definitely suggest living in downtown Nashville or as close as you can get. That's where the music scene is along with nightlife, restaurants, lots of things to do. That's certainly not to say living in the 'burbs is not a good idea, but if you like to be around "the scene" in Nashville, living in town is that way to do it. Check out places to live around Vanderbilt University which is an area that caters to the college crowd and hopefully you can find affordable housing around there.
