Where to stay in June 2012?

Hi All, My boyfriend is a HUGE country music fan and has always wanted to make a weekend trip to Nashville. So I'm trying to plan a surprise trip this June and am looking for some advice about where to stay! We've heard of Broadway (i think?) Street, that that is where a lot of the fun bars are. I would just like to stay close to bars that is either walking distance or a quick cab ride. We just want to be where the action is!

Also any advice about other sites/restaurants we should see during our quick trip would be very much appreciated!

Let me start off by saying it sounds like you are an awesome girlfriend to want to try and plan such a great trip for your boyfriend! Fun : ) If you want to stay where the action is - then yes, Broadway is the street - 2nd Avenue too - you're talking the heart of downtown Nashville! There are plenty of hotel options. The most reasonable is Holiday Inn Express on Broadway. There's also a Hilton, Doubletree, Union Station, Renaissance, etc. It really is going to depend on your budget. If you don't mind taking a taxi for a short distance, then consider staying closer to Vanderbilt - Holiday Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt, Hampton Inn and Suites Elliston Place, Courtyard Nashville Vanderbilt/West End, Embassy Suites Nashville- at Vanderbilt to name a few.
