Bad Credit- Need Apartment help!!!

Hey I am moving to Nashville June 1st and long story short I messed up my credit and need a place to stay. I have great rental history and even have the money to put up first, last and security. Does anyone know of any apartments which will allow me to do this due to my credit?

While I don't have any specific places you can try - I'd start calling apartment complexes and let them know right off the bat you have bad credit. Be honest and explain your situation. I have rented out apartments in the past to tenants that have very, very bad credit - BUT - I took a larger deposit, verified employment and salary AND got good references (bad credit doesn't make you a bad person : ) Luckily I never had any problems which goes to prove that while people do mess up their credit - there are plenty who really want to make it better and can make great tenants.

Yes I do have good rental references my references are what got me into my current apartment now

Then you will find someone who will rent to you. If you call around to apartment complexes and don't have good luck, try Craig's List and look for individual owners. You might be better off this route - but you'll still have to prove your responsibility. Another outlet to try is Vanderbilt University. Perhaps they can give you a list of people who rent to college kids.
