    Default Relocating to Nashville

    Welcome to Nashville!

Full disclosure: I am a real estate agent, so I am not allowed to give you my opinions on schools or neighborhoods, but I can steer you towards some websites where you can find the info you're looking for. Start with greatschools.org. Then go to MNPS.org, which is the Nashville school systems's website. With a little detective work you can find test results of the different schools. I can say that some of the magnet schools: Meigs, Hume-Fogg, and MLK among them are considered some of the best in the country.

As far as where to live, that depends on what your budget is. There are "nice" areas all over Nashville. I'm not allowed to comment on the safety of various neighborhoods, but can steer you towards crimemapping.com, which graphically demonstrates crime activity. Don't let the map alarm you, it appears more frightening than it is. Compare Nashville to where you currently live to give you an idea of what to expect. You will notice that in general Southwest Nashville has less crime overall than other areas. On the average the real estate is more expensive there, but there are very reasonably priced neighborhoods in that area as well. Good luck and welcome to Nashville! It's a great town full of friendly people. I bet you'll like it here.
