~~Moving from WA to TN...Need all the advice I can get~~

So the hubby and I have decided to move from WA to TN and are hoping that people will give us advice. We are wanting to live in or around Nashville. No more than 45 minutes away from the city though.
We have 3 kids, middle school age and elementary school age. We are wanting to rent a home for now. We are needing our max rent to not exceed $800/mo. Safety is our number one priority! We are hoping to find a community that is family friendly with kids out playing in the streets of the subdivision until the street lights come on, kinda like when I grew up. LOL. I sure miss that. Are there even any places like that that still exist?!?! I will post more questions as I think of them, but any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

Glad you are open to living up to 45 minutes outside of downtown Nashville because prices will be lower. Check out any of these cities: Galatin, Murfreesboro and Hendersonville.
