Hi, My wife and I are moving to Nashville early next year. We've noticed that a lot of homes are electric as opposed to gas. What should we expect to spend each month for electricity?

It depends on a lot of things - for example - What's the size of the home? Are the windows & appliances energy efficient? What's the age of the home? What's a comfortable temperature for you?, etc. Therefore, it's difficult to answer this question. Also, keep in mind that the way gas prices have risen, electricity is less expensive!

Thanks for your reply, Say the house is 1100 sq feet, the Windows and appliences are energy efficient, my pefect tempreture is 70 and the house is 30 years old....I'm looking for a ballpark figure here..less than a hundred a month ...more then 300? thanks Peter
I think it's safe to say up to $150/month (could be more...could be less). However, the only way to truly know is to take a look at the electric bill history of the homes that interest you.
Good Luck!
