I've missed Aaron, too, and checked the website. His name and bio are missing. I hope it's just a short-term thing. He's valuable to the community and the station. His "Cool Schools" segments are top-notch.

It looks like Aaron may really be gone this time. Has anyone heard anything about him? His last station tweet was back on April 12th and almost all mention of him is gone from the Channel 4 website. Did he leave and my family just missed it or what? Where is Aaron Solomon?

I think WSMV has warned all their employees and must be threatening their lives if they spilled the beans ....because NO ONE is talking about Aaron Solomon's absence. But...... I do know Aaron was definitely let go by the new GM, Doreen Wade. She is brand new to the station, and can be known to make your life miserable. Station ratings have tanked over a three year period and Wade isn't wasting any time making changes.

WSMV used to be #1 two years ago - but the bottom line is that their morning show ratings are currently a disaster and someone had to be sacrificed. The station is now conducting a nationwide search for Aaron's replacement.

I do and will miss Aaron but I think Josh Devine seems like a very nice guy and I find him very likable. Give him a chance.

Aaron Solomon should have been the replacement for Dan Miller.... however, they decided to go a different direction... and it got them into the pits... now they are struggling to find their way out... Guess what ... they will have no viewers by the time this is over. I sure hope Aaron goes to another station in the Nashville area... his talent is too good to be wasted... and a great asset to the Nashville community.... WSMV was wonderful in the days of Dan Miller.. but now they are struggling and I for one will let them struggle.

I received word from Holly Thompson that Aaron Solomon has resigned and will not be back. All of his information has been wiped clean from the WSMV web site and his Facebook page has had WSMV removed from it as well.

I only hope another local station will pick up Aaron Solomon.... he is a Middle Tennessean and deserves to work in this area... As long-time viewers of WSMV, I think we deserve a little more than that. Maybe they think we are just too dumb to notice, or maybe that it's just none of our damned business. So sorry to hear Aaron is gone. I too hope he lands at another Nashville market station. I don't know Channel 4's logic or reasoning, but am sure Josh Devine is not the answer. Aaron was, and is, super for the community and added so much professionalism to the morning show. This must be good news for channels 2, 5 and 17.

I agree, I don't like listening to Josh. I can't stand to see him hand talk. I think he needs to be behind a cubical wall and not on air. My husband refuses to watch him and now that Aaron isn't coming back I guess I will no longer watch Channel 4 in the mornings. I will sure miss the Aaron and Holly duo. I wish Holly the best and hopefully she doesn't get axed next.

letting him go is a big mistake -- JD is not a good replacement. His mannerisms get on my nerves. To channel 4's new GM "this was not the way to get your morning ratings up" there are others that should have been let go first. BIG MISTAKE!

I am really getting tired of Channel 4 getting rid of the class acts! First Tim Ross then Bob Sellers and now Aaron Solomon. Will definitely switch to one of the other channels. Good luck to Aaron.

If ratings were low, there's a reason why. I've worked with people who seem to be quite lovely but don't bring positive energy to the work place. We only know the people we see on the TV but we don't really know who they are or what they're like to work with. It's very possible that the new GM knows what she's doing. I'm sure the people who say that the new GM is making their lives miserable are the ones who are not open to changing thier attitudes. Change isn't always easy but in this case it might turn out to be a good thing. The station needs to find the right combinationof news casters. I hope they figure it out and find replacements who exude a positive attitude.

When Dan died, we found comfort in our hometown boy Aaron. He and Holly went together just like Dan and Demetria. Channel 4 used to be the station to watch, now it's just something to ignore. Try watching Josh for 5 minutes, surely one is not expected to hang on for the 3 hour show.

After the 2nd week of not seeing Aaron, I decided to "google" his name to see what happened to him. To find out this way, in a thread on the internet, is very disappointing. However, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to do the research; otherwise we never would have known. I've been watching Channel 4 for a very long time, and especially in the mornings! Holly and Aaron were the perfect duo! I loved watching them together. I know we all have our flaws and quirks that get on each other's nerves, but I agree, Josh's mannerism's are quite annoying that early in the morning. He is too dramatic with his tone - over anxious and loud. I said just yesterday, "calm down a little Josh...relax" as I was watching. Not a good fit for Holly in the morning. I sure hope that Holly survives. I miss Tim, too. Gee whiz WSMV, what are you doing???

I too miss Aaron, but my wife and I had both commented long before he left that he appeared to be miserable. A lot of the old spunk was gone. Personally I hope that Cool Schools disappears with him. I tune in to watch the news; not segments on the local high schools.

I agree, it is "their" station and business decisions need to be made but has not the new management not recognized that with this many changes, ratings are going to change. My viewing habits have now changed to a station that I can count on for some stability. That's my business decision.

For years I was a fan of WSMV in the morning...however, the show is missing something now. However, the chips may fall, the missing link wasn't Aaron. It could be his co-host. Channel five has some great chemistry with their morning cast, btw.

From a VERY reliable source--Aaron was moved from the morning show and offered a lower position with lower pay and less time with his family. He chose not to take it and I for one don't blame him!! Sad he is gone!! We are not watching Channel 4 any longer, however wish Holly the best--but not with Josh Devine!

We will miss Aaron as well and wish him the best. I think that it takes years of exposure to a news anchor for people to feel that they "know" them well enough to feel that they can comfortably invite them into their homes every day. These folks become a familiar face and personality that we feel we can trust telling us the news. We learned this when Dan Miller first went to California and Ch4 was left without that hometown boy feeling. We learned that again when Dan died and that other guy came in. We didn't have time to get to know them, for them to earn our trust. Aaron has been around Nashville a long time and I thought was on track to become the next Dan Miller. Hopefully someone else with that "special something" will come around and Channel 4 will be back on top.

Well, I've been watching Channel 4 for more years than I can remember. Even after I married a loyal channel 2 fan I won him over to Channel 4 but I give up. I just can't keep up with all their constant changes- the most recent is the replacement of Aaron Solomon. I liked Aaron but I did notice he has been gone a lot in the past year. So Good Bye Channel 4 and hello Channel 2~! Change is good!

I agree Josh devine is terrible. Have swithed to Channel 2. Aaron and Holly balanced each other out. He was lless stuffy and she was serious. Not really sure about Paul's arrogance either. Keep it light first thing in the morning, serious when its necessary. And please don't keep repeating the same story word for word!

There is absolutely no-zero-zilch chemistry between Josh & Holly. There are business people that can run a business, and then there are people that can run a business into the ground. My family has been watching channel 4 in the mornings since Holly and Aaron were a team. We have been so disappointed since he left. Your GM has really messed things up!! They worked well together just like Dan and Demetria did. What a terrible thing to do to your loyal viewers and to the rest of channel 4. Aaron, you will be an asset to whatever your next job is. Aaron Solomon was the best male at Channel 4 since Dan Miller. He SHOULD have been Dan Miller's replacement. I am extremely dissappointed that he is gone. I guess I will have to tune in to another network and see if I can find a replacement for Channel 4.

very disappointing....that "devine" guy is horrible. i cant stand to watch it now. i quit watching for a while when he was covering the weather.....ugh! i hope they realized they cut off their nose to spite their face. there are alot of people whio watched just because of the morning combo.....not anymore! i have to find another morning show to watch! this stinks!

Its about time this jerk is gone. I have been watching Holly on WSMV since the mid 90s but I just can't stand this man. Neil Orne comes across as a much more likeable and the chemistry between Steve, Amy, and Leland on 5 is obvious. I ran into Aaron at a Titans game years ago but before I could figure out what to say to him he just starred at me like I was a homeless bum or something and I've never like him since. Cool Schools is stupid and he always looked like an idiot. I really hope I never have to watch him on channel 4 again. If I didn't like Holly so much I would have quit watch Channel 4 in the mornings. I wish Josh Devine the best!

I thought Aaron and Holly had chemistry. Wondering why they selected Josh instead of someone like Alan Frio to interim until a replacement is found. I had not been watching since Paul became the morning weather man. I only watch 4 on weekends to see Nancy Van Camp. Just turned by a couple of times lately and saw Josh and wondered where Aaron was and did not know until today he was gone. Hate to see him gone, although I do not watch anymore because of Paul.

wsmv continues to make poor personnel decisions. getting rid of tim was a bad decision and now aaron. very bad move. i do like josh devine. who else would they put in the morning slot? larry flowers? he's the worst reporter they have. at least josh doesn't make grammatical errors when he reports! they would have been better off getting rid of the weather person lisa. i am with many: it's time to change to channel 5!
